How long do I need to wait for a for sale item to show up? I placed an ad yesterday at around 3PM, as of today it's still not there? uzzled: Thanks, Rich
Not sure, I placed an ad a while back and it took at least a day for it to show up. I was beginning to think I'd goofed and pushed the wrong button or something. o No: I'm just glad I'm not a moderator and have to screen these ads, must be a lot of extra trouble for them. Dave B
Rich, do you mean this one? : http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=99498 I released that one last night. When we release an ad, it goes into forum by the time/date of when it was first submitted. You need to look back to around the time you submitted. If that isn't the ad you're referring to, then I don't know what happened. I released ads a couple times last night.
Rich, the majority of ads are released the same day they are posted, if they include the required price/location details. No guarantees of course, and the later it's posted, the more likely it may be the next day before it's released. We're working on volunteer time here, and it's a (small) group effort to try to keep up with the submissions.
I have had the same problem. I have tried to post and ad in the parts for sale about a parts car I found in my dads town. I guess I didn't have any parts to sell but that was a good place to ask if anyone needed anything of this car. Help!!!
Ron, I believe Brett answered your questions as far as posting in the parts for sale forum, on your other thread. Another option for you may be to simply post about the car in the "Cars For Sale Leads" forum, where you tell members about a car you've come across for sale, that is not your own. In the Parts For Sale forum, if you were not able to list specific parts, you could instead state: "reply with your parts needs from this car, and I will check on it and post the price". That is, if you are interested in scavenging said car for parts to sell on the board.
By the way, I don't recall seeing the ads that you had submitted, but another mod may have addressed them.
