Hello all. I know that if one has a 12 bolt with a 4 series carrier, they can buy a 3.73:1 for the 4 series carrier. On a ford 9", with like 4.86:1 gears, what is the highest ratio that can be had for that carrier?
    Thanx.

i was thinkin that the ford 9 inch used the same carrier for all gears and that the carrier can be moved from side to side with spanner discs.
but i think there was a couple of different diameter pinions that needed their specific bearing when installed.
different splined axles require the correct spyders to be in the spool also.

my thoughts arent definate but more from memory form many years back

Yes all Ford ratios fit the same carrier.
