Cruising around this morning, I passed by a house and caught in the corner of my eye what looked like the roof-line to a 66/67 Riviera. I turned around and went back to check it out. Its a purple 66 with a sunroof cut into it. The guy doesnt want to sell it, but plans on fixing it up...

Not even a mile from there, I came across a white 67 Riviera sitting in front of an auto-shop. I stopped in and asked the owner "Is that 67 Riviera out there for sale by any chance". He said ''no, its my friends car, we got it in last night'' I told him that I had a 66 and he acted like he didnt care. I then asked him if it were possible for me to speak to his friend who owned the car and he interupted me and told me the car had a bad motor. I asked him if they were going to put a 430 back in it or something else. He said "HE IS GONNA PUT A MOTOR IN IT, THATS IN IT ALREADY''... I said whatever , thanks and walked off....

It was obvious he knew nothing about the car, nor cared to hear anything I had to say. He didnt bother answering me when I asked to speak to his friend either, ah well... I find it reallllllllly weird that ive ran across 3 66/67 Riviera's in less than 1 week, all in the same town. Especially since mine was the first one ive ever seen in real life... Older Riviera's are really scarce around here...

That's pretty cool about finding that there is a few old riv's in your area. I never thought so myself that I would see another car like the one I have now, but after driving around I have ran across 4 others besides mine, and I thought that was amazing to see that many in my little area. :TU:

Don't let the attitudes get you down Brian........that guy was prolly a chebby.....he'll change his tune quick when his "buddy" gets that motor fixed and he gets a ride in it. It's a shame you won't be there to see the look on his face after he's been in a Riv! :Brow:

You know, it sure does seem that a lot of guys sure don't like these rivi's, hmmm I wonder, could it be that they have had some bad past experiences, like getting beat by one? :Brow:

Whenever I get mine back, whenever that will be... Im going to drive it up there and ask for the owner of the 67 again. See if that will change the tone of things... :)

Then I have to go by that scrapyard in my buick and do a big nasty smokey burnout in front of the crane operator... :3gears:
