I bought it at a World of Wheels car show in the early 90's. I thought about bringing it to a tee shirt shop and getting more silk screen'd or embroidered, but I guess I'd have to go thru that whole GM licensing deal
Isn't there someting about use of a trademarked item to promote goodwill toward that product? Like a T-shirt that said "I'd rather drive a Buick". The word Buick being in a logotype form? GM wouldn't care cause it promoted goodwil toward the product. Just thinking out loud..
I probably wouldn't get in trouble if I had a few made for myself, but if I were selling them I would guess it might be a problem. When LSU won the Sugarbowl, the tee shirt joint in the French Quarter were selling LSU shirts and making a ton. State Police went in each store and checked all LSU memoribilia for the license agreement. They seized about 1/2 of what was being sold and the stores got heavy fines to boot.
We saw a guy get arrested outside of an arena once at a Kiss concert trying to sell unofficial T-Shirts for $10. I've read where silkscreening shops have gotten all but their livelyhood and everything they owned taken from them because they didn't check on trademark permission first. It's a slippery slope. If it's something for yourself, I wouldn't worry. You could have a bunch made up and give them to all your Buick friends next year for Christmas. :Brow:
Maybe, just maybe, I bought a bunch of "shop rags" at a garage sale that just happened to have GS by Buick on the front.....in L, XL, XXL, of course!
XXL would be a nice gift here too. I would sure pay you for your troubles of picking this up for me so I didn't have to make a trip...........
Too many 'Screaming Yellow Zonkers' huh? Incidentally, we just had a run of those last night. 18,000 cases of 12/8 oz boxes. I was dreaming of little yellow popcorn last night!!
No wonder America is full of fatso's. 216,000 boxes of Zonkers in one night. How many calories is that?
If you can wait a year or two, GM will announce the end of Buick and then you can print as many as you want!
Mike, there are 140 calories per serving, 7 servings per box. That means there are 980 calories per box for a grand total of..... 211,680,000 heart attack inducing, arterie clogging, lip smacking calories of goodness all on the trucks out to the minions who can't say no!! Hey, it's a paycheck. o No:
Technically, you could change one little part of it and it would be yours. This applies to images. So if I go and change one pixel of the mona lisa, its now mine. At least that's how I understand it. So I say, add one thread. I'd buy a t shirt if you got those reproduced.
I think the change would have to be more significant than one pixel. But you should have no trouble in taking that to an embroiderer to have it reproduced for YOURSELF.
