I'm back after a short break from asking questions. I still don't have a thing done on my '70 skylark. I have decided, however, to not use the '70's frame. It was hit on the driver's side front corner, and it bowed that portion of the frame up a little. Excuse my ignorance on frames, but I would like to know if the following is possible.

I have a '71 skylark custom with a straight frame. Could the frame from just the firewall forward be removed and installed on the '70? If not, then I guess I'll be moving everything over to the '71's :puzzled:

    Thanks in advance.

edit: The '71 is almost a basket case (it does have original disc brakes though  )

While anything is possible, to cut the '71 frame in half and then to properly align it with your 70 frame is not a good fix, nor very easy. Move your stuff to the '71.

Thanks Brad. Now I just need to rent a place that can accomodate both cars .
