ok, anyone ever have those type of friends that always want from you, and you always do it because well, you're a nice guy, but when you want them to do something for you, they can't ever do it, then make excuses?

for example, i've been telling a friend of mine that i have wanted him to come take video of the Milan test & tune tomorrow, and that he needs to make sure he doesn't work, FOR TWO MONTHS. ok, so he requests the day off from work (ya, see, we work peon jobs where we work whatever they schedule us and we have to request certain days off otherwise we risk them scheduling us that day)... anyway, he doesn't get the day off, so i ask him and i've asked him numerous times if i could borrow his video camera for about half the day tomorrow so i could tape it instead.. he's got a minidv camera so i could just transfer it all to the computer without any hassle at all, easy as pie then edit the hell out of it. but he claims his sister asked today if she could use it... ya right.. except i've been mentioning i'd like to borrow it if he can't make it for atleast 2 weeks now... (edit for better word)... my other friend that was supposed to come along never calls me back.. so screw him.. looks like i'm going to be at milan tomorrow by myself without a video camera to tape the Buick Bug and Blackhawk race... so pisses me off..

in summary, i've disowned both these "friends" they call me, i won't answer, they message me online, i won't answer them. i need new friends i guess.

    Kyle,

The real definition of "friend" is a person who does what he can to help you out whenever YOU need it. Not when it is convenient for them.

I had Stage1 head problems in May. 69GS400S (Alan Wander) from this board and the BPG not only offered to lend me his used S1 heads, but boxed them and overnighted them to me the SAME day I accepted his offer.

And I've only ever met him ONCE!

THAT is someone I'll call my friend. (Yo Alan, how'm I doin'?)

Ditch them, man. They aren't really your friends.

ya, i've realized this and today i've really just become sick and tired of it. the final straw, i might just keep my friends torque wrenches he let me borrow.. that's about all i've gotten outta him, i asked him a few times to come over and help me with the intake problem i was having.. nope, he wasn't here to help.. candy ass was too worried about getting his hands dirty i guess.. same guy that can't go tomorrow because he's cleaning someone's car.. jackass... i'll never ask him to do anything cool again... i sure hope someone brings a camera tomorrow and tapes all this.. cuz i want a full digital copy of it.. i don't even care how many cd's it is i'll pay for it no problem.. i was tempted to go buy a $400 dv cam earlier but said screw it.. i've already spent $500 on this digital camera i've been taking all these pictueres with.. which by the way i didn't get to take many of today... i was volunteering and such so i didn' thave a lot of time to wander and help, by the time i did what i needed to do.. like help the transportation guys, listen to denny mannor's V8 speech, find joe taubitz, and eat... i was too tired to do much else, i just wandered a bit and went home... but i'll be sure to take many many pictures saturday... hopefully i'll make it up to ya.. but don't worry, i didn't see anything spectacular today.. nothing real interesting, just lots of cars.. nothing that stood out to me or anything... but i did take a few 30 second video clips of me pulling in.. we'll see how well those turned out and i'll show ya :) hopefully they're pretty cool
