I have a set of slightly used front & rear guards for a '71.Both were NOS two years ago. Front pair was on the car for one Summer only. One chip in the chrome when I got them, otherwise perfect. Rear pair on the car for one Summer plus this Winter in storage. Plan on removing them as well. Also a spare set of NOS rubbers for the rear. $200.00 for the all, shipped. These will not fit a '72. Can send pics of all when I get the car back in April. Not sure what your schedule is.
'72 front guards require a cut-out portion to clear the impact strip. Bumper profile too, is slightly different. I've not tried a '71 rear on a '72 bumper. May/may not fit but the "U" shaped one piece would be correct.
Steve & BuickBert the 71 rear's will not work on the 72 rear as I just tried it & the curve's are different or theyed be on mine. I took off my front & rear's. Let me look on sunday & if there good you can have them for real cheep! Lee
The rubber part is repoduced by Kent Brooks and his info is available here somewhere . I have extras of the chrome parts and they are good enough for a driver . I do have some rubbers but have to see what condition they are in . I also am having a set rechromed and could possibly have another done if your interested in a price that way John

Bert you have to buy a whole top from any Gm a body supplier or I have a direct from Hydro . They have some original non padded material like original 1-800-343-4261. I will post the info I have for everyone here . I will go thru my chrome pieces . to check condition . As I understand it you are looking for driver quality and not rechromed right ? John

Steve you have 71 right , the chrome part isn't the horse shoe shape on a 71 I have the rear on a bumper in storage and cannot check its condition till friday or sat . If you have not purchased any by that time I will send pics to this thread John
