Mike after researching and reading through pages of GM parts history, factory info states only Pontiac used specific springs for each side. Buick and the other siblings did not. This was also told to me by the people at Eaton Spring also, where I purchased my second set of springs. The big determining factor springs are compared by are load height, free height,& wire diameter. These 3 variables will ensure your springs are correct for your car. Hope this helps you. If your not sure what you need I found Eaton has excellent customer service fo which there is no substitute.

    Rich,
So did Eaton have AC specific, custom springs for our Buicks or did they send you a Pontiac set? How were the right and left springs different, could you visibly tell? I.E part # or wire diameter or coil difference? Thanks for continually updating this thread, I will be traveling this road at some point in the future and its nice to know that Eaton knows as much as they do.
As a side note, I remember when the GS club had their specific spring sales and they touted how specific to Buicks, engine choice, and AC option their springs were. So there is definitely more than "one set fits all" for GM A Body.

When I rebuilt my front suspension in 2012, I ordered stock replacement springs through NAPA. I gave them my cars specifics and when the springs came in I looked for any differences and couldn't see any. So I just installed them as the chassis book outlined. It took a few months for them to settle in, and they have stayed close to that height since. Side to side is within 3/8" now.

I have heard of left and right springs for cars with A/C but I have no personal experience.
