I bent my own line tonight has anybody run one like this ? Will it affect anything. I also use an internal regulator alternator but i need to run a wire from the alternator to the battery to energize tha alt. Question? Can i run a wire from the starter to the alternator instead?

The fuel line seems fine. Over the years I've run neoprene hose, oddly bent steel tubing, etc., without problems.

So long as there is no kink in the line, it doesn't interfere with anything, and doesn't rest on the block (b/c of heat), it should be fine.

I've only done the alternator once, so cannot really comment. I think I tapped into the positive wire going to the field coils of the alternator (the red one in the plug to the alternator), but I am not sure.

Someone here will likely post a link to a web page showing how to do it. Its the same page I used, but I forget the URI.

My understanding of the soild fuel line is that it is OK but you should run at lease one rubber section between the frame and pump so the movement wont break the line
I have always gone back to the firewall to get the positive lead when I have converted to HEI. It looks factory and I am sure of the source. You dont want any volt dips and some positive leads decrease or drop out all together during the start cycle. You can get the brass clips for the firewall box from Ron Francis and it makes a good sano install
Hope I've helped Good luck :TU:

Looks OK. You just want to stay relatively kink-free and away from heat sources.
