Need some help i have a ta chrome hi output fuel pump i'm using a 1910 eledbrock Q-jet carb only needs 6 pounds of pressure.I have holley regulator it can't hold pump. With no reg pump has 9 1/2 pounds. If i start motor cold and set it to 6 psi after it warms up psi drops to 2-3 psi i returned reg got a new one same thing.Any one using big mech pump with Q-jet { trisheild} what kind of reg you using. Will i have to use some kind of bypass?I called Mike at TA he said he has not ran into this problem yet but was very interested in out come. thanks

Are you sure it's the regulator and not the gauge that acts up when it's cold? Are you having any problems when the regulator is set to 6 psi warm?

When psi is over 7 pounds carb floods. When psi is at 6 or lower car does'nt flood, runs great. If anything the holley reg is no good. Q-jets are lower psi than holley i was hoping someone was using a reg with Q-jet and big pump. thanks
