OK, here's a question for the experts. Tell me if I'm totally out of my mind. During the winter months I always think about things I want to do on the Lesabre come warm weather. Here's my latest thought. I've never liked the location of the power windows, just not handy. What I'd like to do is replace the door panels of my car with panels from an Electra (75/76) so the window switches get moved up to the armrest instead of on the lower door panel. I know that I can use Pontiac Grand Ville convertible panels and would get them closer to where I want, but I'd like to at least keep it Buick.

So, will the Electra 2-door panels work on the Lesabre convert? I know I'd have to get the 4-door window control panel since the 2 door Electra uses large, fixed opera window in the rear. Or this this totally barking up the wrong tree?

    should work fine.
if your exsisting wires are long enough you might be able to release the wire terminals from your old switchplug and slip them into the new plug and keep from having to swap out the whole harness.

do your doors have the optional lower red and white accessory lights on the door panels?

Yuk..thanks for the info...no, I don' thave the lower red warning lights. I don't know if that was an option on the Lesabre, but they would be nice to have. I think the Electra had them as standard, but I'm not positive on that either. I've got some work to do on the car before it's ready for the road. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and I'll be able to get out the garage in April....

the lower lights were available for 75 lesabres just like they were for 74 and 76.

my 76 4dr post lesabre has them on all 4 doors. opening one of its doors lights all 8 of them PLUS the one on the ceiling PLUS one in each front footwell under the dash. 11 lights total.

on electras, they are a little different having only one bulb to light both (even smaller) lenses.
