Anyone know of a source for these? They're called 'fuse clips' and I have literally spent hours trying to find some! I tried NAPA, and several electronic suppliers- Newark, Allied, Keystone...to no avail. Closest I could find was a complete fuse box rebuild kit for $75. All I need are a few clips, not a whole box! And who was the original manufacturer for terminals? Thanks!
change the whole thing! from the looks of that terminal, you might want to replace the whole box.i know i would.if you really want the clips, send your pic to the folks at painless wiring, and they should be able to help.quite frankly,by the time you buy the parts, pay shipping and invest your time doesnt a $10.00 part from a wrecking yard sound better?
Chances are probably good that the ones in the boneyard are all getting weak too. I currently have about 5 or 6 complete fuseblocks for my 67's, and I'd bet that at least 40% of all the terminals are rusted, weak, broke..or... etc.. o No:
Used? Problem is, the fuse box is part of the whole interior wiring harness. So I would need to find a junkyard wiring harness for a '66 manual trans GS....ain't gonna happen, unless I get VERY lucky! And, these terminals are crimped on. So it would be very difficult to UNcrimp the good used terminals and install onto my wiring harness. Annnnddd...I need to do several cars, so cost is an issue. This is the repair kit, avail for $75. IF they are available! http://www.lectriclimited.com/repair_components.htm But where do THEY get their fuse-clip terminals o No: There must be a source!....it's out there....somewhere!
since you have several cars that need em,ask if they will sell to you at a discount for multiple kits?did you try painless yet?doesnt sound like you have much choice o No:
I don't know about then, but now Packard/Delphi electrical terminals are supplied to GM dealers through Kent-Moore Tools , 1-800-345-2233.
