Yeah guys I'm new to the board so any help whould be great I have 1984 olds cutlass supreme with a 3800 buick v-6 in it and was needing some help on what would be the easiest V-8 to swap any there with minimal amount of fabrication I know they came with a 307 v-8 as a option but I heard that motor was sort of a dog so any advice would be great and the trans thats in it now is a thm-200-r4 if that helps.

Get a Buick 350 and everything will bolt in and bolt on to the 350 from the 3.8

HP can range from 200-300 depending on year. The 72-up were rated at NET HP and they are usually 180-220. The early 70 GS version with 10.25:1 compression was rated at 315, GROSS HP.
