Anything different about pads for wagons? (Re: Gas Tank Pad)

Dear Patton and V-8 Buick wagon fans,

I just sent you a personal message asking for a quote to send a pad to California for my trusty wagon. I went through the thread and didn't see anyone ordering a pad for a wagon so I thought I would ask. Any reason to think they would be different?

I've researched the gas tank and the tank for the 64-67 GM A-body wagon and sedan is supposed to be identical with the exception of the filler neck being in a different location. The wagon has the filler on the side while the sedan can be filled from the rear. However, the dimensions are identical. I'm actually going to be ordering a 64-67 El Camino gas tank because they were the same as the Special/Skylark wagon tanks (not the Sportwagon though).

    Any thoughts? :Smarty:

Thanks in advance for your help!! :TU:

    Cheers, Edouard :beer

Edouard - No problem at all...especially if the tank is sized like the regular A-bodies from the years you mention. Filler neck location won't have any effect either. I'll check the PM you sent and will respond there.

Bruno - PM sent with info.

    Thank you both!
