I use Shell and Amoco (BP) because that is the highest octane stuff around here. Also the cleanest! And most expensive:gt:
We own 5 vehicles and they all run great on Shell . Why use anything else , right ? High octane and friendly sales persons !:Brow: :Brow: :TU:
Friendly sales persons? You mean the blonde ones with bi.....:Brow: Oh you were being serious! In that case, I need to be stopping at QT for all my eye candy needs:laugh:
Well, it used to be Sunoco and Hess. Now, its just Hess since Sunoco changed their Premium and Ultra octane #s from 93/94 to 91/93, keeping the price structure the same :af: .
Up the street is a Cenex station. Their premium price is the same as everyone else but you get 94 octane, over the usual 92. Otherwise it's usually Shell...got their gas card. :spank:
Shell and Citgo. I get better millage from Shell but Citgo is more common here. I will not buy Amoco or Chevron. Both of these companies are known for crushing antique autos for polution credits. :af: :blast:
BP has the highest octane for around here. gas is about the same price all over but the only other distributer around here is conoco....panther pi$$ for sure. reg. is between $1.48 and $1.53 :ball:
Same for Union 76. There are a couple of Mobil stations in my area that sell 92 octane "clear gas" It doesn't have ethanol in it. Not sure if it has lead in it, but everytime I go to pump some in my Riv, they ask me over the intercom if I realize it's the clear gas pump I'm at and not a normal unleaded pump, before they will turn it on! Which gets really old. :af: I don't think the nozzle would even fit in an unleaded vehicle's gas tank opening! It costs about .20 more than the 92 unleaded. My car loves it!
ever use oxygenated gas with butyl[sp?] alcohol? it make my car run a little worse till i enrich it up alittle. but it also absorbs moisture out of the air and make gas tanks rust out quickly. we gotta change the fuel filters a lot around here in the winter.uzzled:
