Throwing a question out there. What's the general concensus on aftermarket gauges for my GS 400. I'm looking for a tach and a triple cluster (amp, oil, temp). I like old school looks so... Sun Pro? Moon? AutoMeter? VDO? Which rules? Which sucks? Moon's the priciest but then again you're paying for the logo. Thanks, peace. D.
I always liked Sun gauges and the Sun sidewinder tach. I had no stereo so I filled that spot with the triple gauge cluster, looked good worked great. Sidewinder tach in the usual spot on the column.
DO NOT buy the cheapo autoGuage setup made by AutoMeter......Cheap and inaccurate Here's a picture of my install - I have the Pro-Comp oil filled Water-Temp, and oil-pressure, and volt meter guages and a Sport Comp Tach. I had the tach on the steering column for 6 years and just recently moved it to attach to this A/C dashpad. The pad had a crack right where I mounted the tack, so its not like I waisted a good one. The Radio Install I've been planning for 11 years and finally got to it before the BPG Nats last weekend. As my Dad always said "Buy Cheap, Buy Twice...."
