This is the seal I used to install the 8.2” Chevy guts into the 8.2” Pontiac housing.

 

Since I have the magic box out. Here is another adapter seal. I use this seal to install an 8.5” 10-bolt yoke onto a 12-bolt Chevy. It’s originally for a 1/2ton truck front axle.

Did you have the info on the 473440 seal?

 

No - So you use this seal in a PONTIAC housing to fit a 8.2 CHEVY yoke? That is what your doing? Jim

 

Yes. I haven’t built very many,but that is what I used. I built one locally about 15 years ago and it’s still good. Not leaking or anything.
