I got some work done to my 73 GS this weekend. 1) Finished taking the seats out and took all the carpet up. 2) Fond some things under the carpet; I have questions about. 3) Did A LITTLE body work(removing some rust). 4) Took the driver side exhaust down and out. 5) Sprayed bake parts down with WD-40 To losen them up. 6) Started to fix the brake line Here are some pictures. More to come tommorow. Thanks, Anthony
Had a small Midas exhaust system on it, had to peel the axle pipe off the muffler to take it down; needed to get to the brake line.
I'm getting the body shop to weld in the floor pans along with the roof. I'll get back to you on that on-frame resto tommorow.
Rob, It is going to be an frame-on resto, for now. If I have the extra money, I'm gonna do an frame-off resto. :Brow: We'll see. :3gears: The important part is that it will be better and much meaner. Here is a picture of it. Thanks. Anthony
It's really coming together anthony! :TU: BTW, did you get order the floorpans from somewhere or did you get them "custom made" and fabricated at a bodyshop for you?
thanks Cody! Thanks Cody, its a little long taking everything apart but it will go together quick. BTW, I'm takin ghte engine out on July 30th!!! Who-Ho! Cody actually, the floor pans are from The Parts Place Inc. ( www.thepartsplaceinc.com ) But I didn't order it from them, when I picked up my roof from Mike Z. he sold them to me because he wasn't using them. I have about 3 bodyshop to go with so I gotta get prices. More info to come on the progress of the GS! Thanks, Anthony
