Hey guys I have gotten a price of $1295 plus $350 shipping on all the "Solex" (green) glass for my 70 SS. That would be $1645 total shipped to Fl from Street Rod Glass in Cal.. Seems kinda high. Is this the going rate?
If you're talking windshields, I had a local windshield replacement shop (they came out to my house) put a new one in my 71 GS for about $200... sun shade at top, and radio antenna imbedded in the glass. May not pass the concourse test, but I can't tell the difference from the original. Don't know about rear or side windows since I haven't broken those yet.
I don't know if this matters to you or not but you can get date coded glass for your car. I don't know where to buy it but I do know it is available.
I just checked and they do not have all the glass I need. They also gave a price on the Chinese glass which I was told to stay away from. I have been told Taiwan is better glass but cost more. . LOL
