I had to rebuild an E4ME Q-Jet the other day. This is the Q-Jet with the MC solenoid and TPS in it. I couldnt find the specialty tools anywhere. Not even on Ebay! I finally just made the tools to adjust the air bleed valve and lean mixture adjustment. There's another to adjust the TPS that I didnt bother fabricating. the car ran like a top when we were finished, so I guess my home made tools worked. I would like to aquire these items, but they seem to be obsolete. They're not even in the Snap On catalog anymore!

BTW..anyone know the spec for the TPS? Im pretty sure its .5 volts at idle.

    Jason,
I believe I bought these tools when I had my 86. Have to look around for them. I think Thexton was the manufacturer. Yup, here it is:

Yes, TPS at CLOSED THROTTLE is around .41 or so. WOT should be 4.5 volts at least.

Take a look at this old for sale ad I had posted.

    I have a complete Thexton 2500 - Elec. Carb/TBI Adjustment Kit I'd sell for $200 shipped.

    Virtually unused.....excellent condition.
