custom 9" Gm Rearend, The housing is a track 9 housing 3/16 thick. Thick Axles tubes. Bracing inside the housing. It has a Moser 3.25 big bearing case, uses a daytona pinion support, has 8620 steel 3.89 gears on a spool, along with 35 spline axles that have the 5x5 GM pattern with 3"x 1/2 Studs, and a back brace. Has ford ends on it that use the big tapered bearings for strength! Also uses ford brakes along with regular GM drums, The brakes are all new hardware etc. This is one very strong rearend! I only used it one season, and it was under a heavy 4550 car! Producing low 1.6's 60fts!! The upper ears are a 1 1/2 taller than stock allowing the suspension to work correctly and plant the tire hard! Just like the No hop bars for A bodies. The only reason I am selling it is I am buying another car and will not be needing this anymore. I have over $2500 Invested! Get it at a reduced cost of $1800.
Re: GM Fullsize Custom 9" Rearend I was told that 71 and later rears won't fit in my 70 Wildcat, but maybe you could help with info on building it? Home built or did you buy it? My 9 3/8 2.92 Posi rear just does not cut it and I've given up on finding a 3.42 posi. Any advice wil be appreciated. Thank you Bill White
Place called a Raptor Fab in Nebraska, Dave Bryan... Look him up, he may be able to help you out? Or maybe he can make this one work?
I also have a set of UMI lower arms, and A new 3" shaft made to with 1350 spicer solids front and back I would sell the whole deal for 2200, and that is giving this away !
Nice Car!! Thinking outside the box on that one!... This rear will fit in any full size car from 71-76 including the rivs
Thanks!.again I wish I had the cash... Maybe 5 months from now I will have some abundant cash flow coming in... Until then good luck with the sale!
