I have been trying to find the correct GM part numbered hoses and belts for the `70 GSX I'm working on and no one seems to have them. These items are readily available for the Pontiacs and Chevys but I can't find anything for the Buicks. Anyone have an insight on this? And where can I get the date coded plug wires? Year One told me 6-8 weeks. I seem to need a better source for Buick parts. Bill
Jim, Thanks on the wires. They will be shipped this week. Why doesn't anyone make the belts and hoses for these cars? Are they waiting for their popularity to catch up the the Chevelle and GTO? Bah! Those cars are like ***holes, everyone has one  Bill
Some are being remade but there are so many Mopar and GM applications ahead on the list that Buicks cannot see the front of the line.
What part number belts are you looking for? I might have some NOS. The two-letter application code would help, too.
The a/c belt is part no. 3911670, code YA and the alt. belt is 3863116, code WT. The car has no power steering. That's right, a Stage 1 GSX with a 4 speed, a/c and no PS. Weird, eh? o No: Bill
Sorry, I don't have either of those part numbers. I do have about 8 different NOS belts, multiples of some of them. And I was told some of them are Buick. Does anyone have a cross reference where I could look up part numbers to determine their applications?
I could use the following part numbers: 9433750 1394316 1378417 I wish I had the cross referance, I'm sure someone here does. Thanks, Rich
54Rich, I don't have those part numbers either. Here's the NOS belts I've got: 398928 ZI? 3/8" x 61-7/8" 3924517 TQ? 1/2" x 42-1/2" 408315 ML 3/8" x 62-11/16" 3902123 VI 1/2" x 58-1/2" 1374267 SC 3/8" x 61-3/4"? 1231018 ** 3/8" x 48-1/4" 9433781 HP 7/16" x 64-1/2" 1602011 TA 3/8" x 59-1/2" Note the question marks above where I'm not sure about the info. If anyone's interested in any of these, let me know. Golden Oldie, sorry for the hijack.
Brian, I checked in my Buick parts book (11/71 ) and I don't see any of the numbers that you list. Matt
Thanks, Matt. Based on the 7-digit part numbers, many of them are probably from later in the 70s. Of course, if any of those sizes would work on someone's car, these belts would still look better than one stamped "Goodyear" or something, even if the embossed part number isn't correct.
