Found a nice wheel with Firestone GR70 tire on it. I think it may have been a spare all of it's life, wheel is nice and tire still has nubs.

Couple of questions for the group:

Did the Firestone tires have GM molded on them?

Date code is CY384 which I assume is week 38 1974, wheel is a WP

Would the spare tire have been balanced from the factory or dealership, there is a wheel weight on it

I worked at BF Goodrich in 1969 and bfg did not mold any company name nor logo into the tires they manufactured. I can tell u that an F78x14 fibreglass tire sold to the big three was priced at $8.00. Whitewalls were $0.50 extra. Retail was about $40.

I just bought one like that - WP & Spare had never been used (i.e. Wheel is like new). I'll have to look.

They look like 76/77 GM OEM tires that Oldsmobile used
