    1987 8.5 posi from a Grand National into a 1965 Skylark.

Could anyone give me some insight as to how difficult this rear end swap might be?

I've been told that even thou they look the same, there is a difference with the upper control arm mounts,on the rear end, either narrower or wider, there might be a vendor out there that makes an adapter type upper control arm, I thing Southside did make them, but they went out of business. It is not a direct bolt in.

    alec296 i need another buick

the gn rear in narrower so you will need different rims on rear, you will need custom offset upper arms for the shorter ears on top, custom length lower control arms, then you will adjust for pinion angle
spring and shock locations will be altered, change driveshaft length,
metric lug nuts will be needed. lot of work for little gain
    south side never made them
if you get 3.55 gears for the 65 8.2 rear with a 27 in tire it will
have same revs as gn rear with stock tire
