Reading the "Dream Buick" thread got me to thinking. If I could go back in time to any year and order a brand new Buick what would I have ordered. Here's what I came up with. Year: 1970 (partial to 72's but 70s are top of the food chain performance wise) Model: Skylark GS Engine: 455 with dealer Stage 2 package (I'd even let them install it ) Trans: M-22 4 Speed Rear End: 4.10 Positraction (would have liked a 12 bolt but doubtful I could have gotten it) Color: Stratomist Blue, black vinyl top Interior: Black buckets with consolette, woodgrain Suspension and Steering: heavy duty with front and rear sway bars, manual steering box, 15 inch Rally wheels Brakes: Power disk Misc Options: N-25 rear bumper, AM/FM Stereo, no AC, no power accesories This baby would be ready for the strip or street race domination. I'm curious what would everyone else would order? :Brow:
Good Car:3gears: If i could go back in time and order....hmmm.... I have never thought of a nailhead, maybe i oughta start.... Car:1965 buick Skylark GS 401 Nailhead with a 4 spd manual. Options:Buckets, No A/C, Pwr brakes, pwr steering, manual windows. Other: It would be a black car with the red-line tires and some added cragar wheels, street slicks, dual exhaust W/headers and big polished chrome tips exiting past the rear bumper.
