Have a fun safe vacation. I'm off to the Outer Banks of North Carolina the week after labor day. Nothing but reading!!!!!!!
Heading to Florida next week (for a wedding) and the Caribbean in January  Do a lot of camping on weekends.
Big C, where on the coast are you going? Don't spend all your time reading. Try the Captain Stacy for some offshore fishing. Lot of stuff to do and still be relaxing.
Jimmy, My brother and I plan to play some golf. It's a family vacation in Avon, just north of Buxton where the lighthouse is. We don't know about the deep sea fishing yet. But I will keep Capt. Stacey in mind. We have been going every year for about 10 years. Thanks PS....I have a whole series of books based on a private investagator from the roman era. Very good series. I've read the last two books and now I need to read the first five.
Enjoy Avon and Buxton. They are wonderful places. I have spent a lot of time there. Climbed the Hatteras light house a few times. I spent a lot of my youth in Manteo, use to run a put-put golf there at age 13 or 14. It cost $1 per game per person and I made .10 for each one. I had to keep track of the number jof people that played. I soon figured out that if I didn't mark them as playing that I could keep the whole dollar myself! It is funny how that experience has stuck with me all these years. It was bad and I knew it. My concious got the better of me and I stopped doing it. Now that I have kids it makes me wonder what they will do when they reach that age. We spent last weekend at Atlantic Beach and I took the boys out in my little boat fishing in Beaufort and Fort Macon. The Capt. Stacy is at Atlantic Beach so it would be a drive to go there. I am sure that the tourist info around can set you up. I do a lot more fishing now that I have two boys that enjoy it also. Have fun:grin:
Pretty good. Weather wasn't the greatest. I did eat more seafood than I've ever eaten before, though. Mussels, clams, scallops, scrod, shrimp, calamari. I won't need my belt for a little while.
