Last month, I visited a junkyard outside of Sodus, NY (not far from Rochester). The guy had a ton of old Buicks (and other cars) scattered around his 50 or so acres. Apparently, he is getting ready to start crushing the cars and cleaning up his acreage (his son wants to start farming it!). The guy's name is Al Green, and he is located on Redman Rd. and Rt. 104 in (East) Williamson, NY. Most of his cars are in really rough shape (i.e. none drive-able, many with no motors), but he has lots and lots of old Buicks, so you may just find what you are looking for. I managed to find a needed glovebox door, ashtray, original radio, and other stuff -- ended up spending $50 for it all! Good luck.
Have you seen any 2 door '62 Invicta's there (or anywhere else)?? My brother would like to find a good donor car (doors and part of the 1/4's) to convert his '62 Invicta wagon to a 2-door Pro Streeter!!:Brow: Happen to have a ph # for that yard? Thanks!:TU:
I went looking for cars that would be likely to have parts I could use in my 1962 Invicta convertible, so I was not looking for 1950's vehicles -- he may very well have some there, since I recall passing many 1950's era cars. I did see several 1961 Invictas and several "other" (i.e. non-Invicta) 1962 full-size models. I don't think he has any 2-door 1962 Invictas (that would have been the first thing I would have gone to . . . ), although I think I saw a 1962 Invicta wagon. I believe that this is his contact info.: Allen J. Green 6580 Redman Rd Williamson, NY 14589 (315) 483 - 9407
