HI Guys, I know there are a bunch of you on Long Island. I'm looking for any possible recomendations on a reliable High Performance tranny shop. preferrable in suffolk, but will travel for the right place.
tranny shop I have used Delta Transmission for many years-and must of had 4 or 5 trannies rebuilt from station cars that I used to own---They redid my 86 chevy caprice 4.3 engine-junked the turbo 200 metric piece of dreck- and installed a turbo 350 with a shift kit and a tranny cooler. This was done at 111000 miles years ago about 1992 and i donated the car may 2003 with nearly 225000 miles on it and it still ran. The tranny was so strong but the rest of the car I was just tired of. In 1994 they installed a shift kit in my 72 gs 350 and a new downshift cable. They also rebuilt a 76 regal 3.8 engine and an 83 chevy impala 229 v6. One of them after they installed it started to leak in 6 months and they fixed that of course no charge. They are the most honest people u could ever meet. John can rebuild a 350 /400 turbo tranny with his eyes closed. I highly recommend them. They are in smithtown on Jericho turnpike closer to commack.
