I've got a buddy looking for a set of vintage Blue Streaks...around 10-11 inches wide. Any of you guys know where I should look?
I used to work for a Goodyear tire and service center. Those tires were only available for cop cars and gov't vehicles.......I don't think they could sell them to the public. You may have difficulty finding a good set of those. :bglasses:
I think they reproduce those now. My friend told me they are coming on his 4000 series Shelby Cobra. Goodyear Blue Streak sports car specials. Im going to say Competion Tire East is the name, but I dont have any other lead right now. I can have my buddy ask Billy Andrews who is the east coast dealer for Shelby where he gets them from.
Hey...I used to work at a Goodyear too! Still remember how to run a "B50" and close out the computers!
I think he's looking for a set of Blue Streak "slicks", althought it's great they're repro-ing the treaded (slightly!) for the Cobra guys...if he can't find the Blue Streaks, he'd take a set of Firestone Drag 500s in a pinch...these are going on an original Jenkins car...
