The only problem he is having is reving that roller cam to 6500+rpm his car and combo is just fine! Let my drive it and I will beat my car. His is fine

Lose some weight. Passenger seat is four bolts, back seat pops out plus what one bolt in the middle. Go Roadkill and take off the hood at the track. Do you really need inner fender wells?

I actually ran my 02 trans am with the 342 gear thru the traps at 7200 in the 1/8 was worth 3 tenths

I'm with Ethan.. your doing as good as you can expect. Maybe some sort of super fine tuning on a chassis dyno will net you a decent gain, but I don't think you're marching into the 12s with out a major upgrade. You will gain some with finding the right shift points, but I kinda doubt 7k shifts will net you much.

I’m anxious to go to Quaker on the 30th,
My second pass was improved over my first pass after the 110 and 93 mix made it to the carb.
This is my best so far with less total timingo_O
I wanna tinker a bit with it and see what happens.
Agreed tho that I doubt going to 7 grand will help, probably would hurt as I believe that’s WAY past the cams power range.
    6500 should do!

It will lay over around 6500 i feel sure...if not b4

Chances are its gonna do better with slightly shorter 1-2 vs the 2-3

The track was at 1113 ft the da was reading 1173 the air was really good that night. 30 on the baro dew point was at 45 humidity was really low. on my 3rd run da was reading 932 so the air was changing. He didn't stay for 3rd run so it may have gone a tick faster the car is running good. Take the air conditioner belt off that will help with drag on motor.
Runs good looks stock, if he would have gotten those aluminum heads it could have been better.

I don't think it will lay over before 6500 it has roller cam and SP3 intake

On my second pass it climbed to 6200 quick, it was still pulling hard, MAYBE another 300 rpm to 6500 and the climb would probably slow after that.
I do remember at the Buick Bash at Quaker two years ago when I took it to 7000 rpm on a couple passes the rpm climb was slower, last Friday it was MUCH quicker to 6200.
Going to try a couple things, one at a time, see what happens, like I said my total timing was a conservative 33 total.
    This is interesting AND fun:cool:

No, don't give me the keys you are doing fine just need more seat time so you can feel the car out. What would be nice is using a electric water pump to help cooldown motor between rounds. I know that when the motor gets back down to 150* the car runs faster. We had engines at 150 just before we went in for the second round.

What you really need is get to a dyno so you can find out where the power starts to fall off then you will know where to shift at.

Is this where it ends for year only Demko and myself ran the cars at track? I thought there was all these 350's out there with aluminum heads just giving great results, where the heck they all at. Collecting Dust? And I got yelled at for taking so long, ha!
