70sgeek drive it like a rental.

well - got the '72 skylark yesterday! a little rustier in the body than I expected but nothing underneath and she runs like a dream... 1/4's have rot at the bottoms and around the wheel well tops - left side is the worst but both would need replacing for a real resto... until then I'm going to see how they'll clean up with bondo..

No leaks, creaks or dash cracks - white interior is clean throughout except for a small seat tear in the front driver's side. Even the original AM radio works!! Bought it from the original owner's estate, got most of the original paperwork and manual with it, and the original 1972 title (I'll hate to lose that).. Top and muffler were new(er), but the Sears tires are from '78 and still in great shape (minus a little dryrot).. I definitely cannot wait to upgrade the steering (6+ turns lock to lock!) and brakes though - the manual stuff works as well as it could, which is to say it's scary at best... no doubt I'll be a regular in here from now on
