I'm losing my mind. How do you remove the headlight switch in a 65 Riv? I read that you get to it through the fuse door. I'm having no luck.

    Please Help

Well, I drug out my old motors manual and looked in there and it didnt eaven mention the the headlight sw. Apparently there is no such thing as a bad headlight sw on a 65Riv.
In that time period the sw usually came out by starting at the sw. its self. 1st disconnect the battery ,so you dont short anything out. Then pull the sw knob out to the 'on' position, then reach up under the dash and there is a small brass plunger on the back side of the switch. press this plunger and pull the sw. knob at the same time. the knob and the shaft should slide right out of the sw. assembly. Then the spanner nut that holds the sw to the dash has to be removed. when this is done, the sw. should come out by pulling it toward the front of the car and then rotating it down toward the floor.
