denver buick inc. 700 broadway denver co 80203 there was two other buick dealerships in denver in 1968
Henry, You wouldn't have any information about people in the militray ordering cars before returning state side would you? My car was ordered in April of 67 while my dad was stationed in Germany. He picked it up in the Bronks in NYC on June 12,1967. I guess the place was kind of a car depot for people returning. Thats all I really know. Thanks
big c, i dont have any info on car orders, but i can tell you there were three dealerships in the Bronx in 1968. they were, Saunders Buick Inc. 2641 East Tremont Ave. Bronx NY. 10461 Argo Buick Inc. 3510 Webster Ave. Bronx NY. 10400 Carrazza Buick inc. 2170 Jerome Ave. Bronx NY. 10400 there was four dealerships in Brooklyn also. that is one big apple.
Henry, Thanks for the info. I just review the notes I took while talking to my dad a few month back. The location was Buchwick Ave, Brooklyn, NY. Sorry about that. I kind of remember him saying it was just a pickup lot. I will see if he can remember if there were any other cars than GMs there. I know he ordered the car from the Car Sales Section of Heineberg Shopping Center in Wiesbaden, Germany. They had all makes and manufactures to order from. Both foreign and domestic. They had two locations that cars could be picked up at, one on either coast. I thnk the west coast pickup was in SF but I'm not sure. thanks again.
big c, thats interesting history. sorry, i dont see a listing for anything on Bushwick Ave. maybe if i get some other clues.
Henry, Let me poke around and see what I can find. I thnk my dad might still have some of the orginal paper work for the car.

Dealer address question Henry, We bought a '70 Stage 1 that was bought here: Name: James Mattews Inc. Marion, IN Dealer number: 07-476 They are still in business today (www.matthewsbuick.com) but I was wondering what the street address was called in your book from 1968? The current street is 1101 N. Baldwin Ave but on their website it says that they are on "The Bypass" so I wanted to make sure that the street name was the same back in 1970 in case I have Mike Trom make me a repro window sticker. Thanks!
For anyone interested, my '72 GS 350 came from: Delta Motors Inc. 301 N Washington St. Bastrop LA. Dealer #19-484
mine came from gerwig-nelson motors 8423-49 s.ashland ave chicago il 60620 and do you have any information of this dealer .i know its not there anymore.would be interesting to know something about dealer.
gary, in 1968 James Matthews inc. was at 1101 N. Baldwin Marion IN 46952 Mike made a window sticker for my stage 1 and i'm very impressed with it. i highly recommend one of mikes window stickers. you'll love it. please consider registering your stage 1 with marco if it isnt already registered.
Thanks for the verification on the street address. I plan to get one of the window stickers, I always hear people commenting on what a nice job Mike Trom does with these. I got the information documenting the car today as an original Stage 1 and sent Marco the information for the Stage 1 registry within 2 hours. I encourage everyone with a Stage 1 to register @ www.stage1registry.com
