70-71-72 inserts gs Hello, thanks for reply, I am purchasing a cut out panel from a gs from another member and will be getting next week in shipping, I am not aware of the year other than it is a gs hood scoops cut out. I am not particular to year just need a set of inserts/vents for my project. I will except plastic or potmetal, not picky. I am putting in a hood of an Apollo Buick, and want to have inserts for welded in panel , most likely will be sealing off bottom of vents , wont be using to breath my motor no hood room to do so. The 455 under the hood barely fits and i am using direct ram air from x-body thru the radiator shroud, to keep xbody appearance look. The motor is dressed all factory to 350 appearance except it is a 455 with AC. So if you can tell me any year fits just has some differences is ok with me, just need a set for custom job. thanks craig

Hood skoops Hey Craig! DHL picked up the hood panel parcel this afternoon! Track wayBil Number: 36362391144. Now, as I mentioned before, I believe this part was cut out from a 71 GS 350. ram air parts question I was wondering if the black backing plate that seals against the foam is the same for all years , or is 72 different shaped on the driver side to match the foam? Thanks .
Kevin, The Driver's side hood seal plate for a 72 GS is shaped like a triangle. It's made to match the foam seal, the air cleaner snorkel and the metal hood insert. Hope that helps.
