Say Briz dude your ride has come a long way and looks fantastic! Diggin the orange! Is that a black top?
I have redlines, but I think it really depends on the tire. Outlines are ugly out, they make the car look like a sport ute. If the tires say NEAT-O SUPER WIDE 60, I would put them in! Nothing looks worse then CHEAPO tires on a nice car. If you put them in, it's much more tasteful and doesn't take away from the look, nobody has to know you have cheap tires. Nothing turns me off like an $89,999.00 Stage 1 GS with EL DORADO BIG UN'S on it! I see stuff like that on ebay + online all the time. Years ago the lettering was smaller + more tasteful, now many RWL tires just look too busy! My GS had Cooper Cobra RWLs when I got it, when I changed to redlines it was like night + day. The RWL tires just took away from the car's looks big time.
Thanks!!! The top is done in a dark bronze. I also tinted the windows in bronze. When the car was painted we color matched the top material and did the center part of the side trim in the same color to tie it all together. New engine/trans goes in this spring/summer. Next yr the inteior gets done and lastly the entertainment system.
I like how the White Letters match the White top. But from the pictures I've seen Buicks look good no matter which way they go. It's your car and do what you want. PONCH
Much appreciated Burner! It's been a long labor - this is the year she is on the road! Since I finally got this thing worked out.
I use to be a letters out guy then I was shown the way and and haven't looked back since. Letters In All The Way!!!!
Seems to depend on the model. My 72 Convert is white letters out but this 67 looks geat all black. RTR
There is no wrong answer with a car that good looking! This made me uncover my 68 GS photo from the GM photo store - it has whitewalls :Brow:
The 68 probably came standard with whitewalls ---------- Post added at 01:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:23 PM ---------- Thanks for the comments Ted :beer Cheers
