  1. Ryans-GSX

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

I am making a GSX clone out of a 72 skylark custom and want to know what parts are needed for the underside to look correct I remember reading there where certain things the bigblock cars had that the small block skylarks dont I am keeping the 8.5 in it and not going with the 8.2 as I think the 8.5 is a better rear even though it would not be correct for a 1970 GSX I have a 71 GS 455 I am parting out and want to know if there are any little parts that I sould keep that are not on 350 skylark

any help on this would be great thanks :beer

  2. GStage1

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

The steering shaft for 455 will have the bolt-on flange that bolts to the rag joint(have this pictured on our site). All other parts are the same except for the common items such as frame mounts, shroud, etc.

Nicholas Sloop '08 GS Nats BSA runner up

Couple more to keep in mind:

Emergency brake set up (cables and "C" hook are different)
    trans crossmember
rear suspension braces that go between the upper and lower control arm bolts
    gas pedal and kickdown switch
