Somebody on here must be kicking the tires on this thing???? Were is all the feedback? I know Ken B. has talked with the guy and he said he had over 150 calls and sent out a bunch of pics, figured at least one or more those 150 are on this board??????? It sure hasn't run up as much as some of the other GSX's that have been listed in the last year or so, and this one is a 4 speed to boot!
Is it me or does the hood tach look to be in the wrong location? It looks too forward on the hood. Maybe its just the crappy pictures. Im surprised too that nobody has looked at this car in person yet. Im curious if the engine/trans are original to the car. Jason
I don't know man... that tag looks like it's been there a darn long time to me, if the rivet edges were clean I'd cry foul but those things have the same patina as everything else in that area. But without putting your bare eyes on it, it's all just speculation...
Well, I guess the two options are this: 1. It is a 4spd GSX that had been wrecked or stripped at some point. 2. It is not a correct car. I am curious if it will sell as well as what it will sell for.
Tim I think you are on the money. The tag is the best thing it has going for it but a lot of warning flags are present. I would first check to see if the frame number matches the rest of the car. There is a story behind this car no matter what.
or...someone looked it over thoroughly and discovered the frame didn't match the body...and told him he may be in for a law suit if it sells...?
70 gsx seattle I looked at the car on sunday night it had roofing tar covering the trunk it was still slightly sticky to the touch it had alot of the same tar covering the frame it was not a matching number motor it had a 73 455 in it . The shifter was a afx I believe I looked for the frame numbers but could not find them the door pannels had plywood screwed on the bottom of the doors the first time I talked to the guy he told me He paid 6500 for the car when I went to look at it he told me he paid 10,000 maybe he couldnt remember what story he told which person I realy didnt care how much money he was making however his story did change once I got out there to look at the car I realy didnt see the value there he would not give me a price he said maybe he would restore it.Glen Roberts
Glen, Is your 4 speed Blue, bought it on ebay? Were you at the Buick Open in Puyallup with it and with your boss and his Green Stage 1 convertible? If so, this is Chris, the guy who has the White GSX 4 speed clone and the 69 convertible that was telling you to come check us out at v8buick.com! If not, please ignore me, I am crazy and welcome to the board!
Yes Chris that was my blue 4 Speed Buick at the Buick open, thanks for the advice about joining this board. The information I found about the GSX on ebay was helpful.
