o No: I have a chance to buy a 1972 GSX. Is it real or not????????? VIN - 4G370K2H204788 Cowl - ST 72 4343 7FLI001063 BDY TR138 1111 PNT O4DA51 iF SO, WHATS A GOOD PRICE TO PAY FOR IT, IT LOOKS ALL ORIGINAL.
Looks like a real mccoy to me. It has a very low body #. Those were usually reserved for X cars. Check the dash emblem, it should say GSX. No chrome moulding at the backs of the fenders or hood. No chrome w/s trim(I think). They won't have any fender badges either. The rear spoiler should have a hole underneath center and one to the left of center and thicker torsion springs on the decklid hinges. Marco, am I forgetting anything?:Smarty: One more thing........pictures,pictures,pictures!!!
I would spend the $25 and get Sloan to verify the sales codes for this car. A low body number signifies 'something special' was done to this car at Fisher Body. It could mean GSX, or it could mean the car was ordered with a hood tach o No: Price would depend on condition and options (big block/small block) Let us know what Sloan comes up with first, on the documentation side. Then we'll discuss the condition/options. Sound good? BTW - what's your name?
Hey Marco, Does Sloan have records for the 73 cars too?I have a 73 350 4 spd car that I want to get the specs on.I know that it is an original 4 spd car and It was painted 65 65 Burnt Coral too. Just how much will expect to pay for all the info they have on it?I have been kicking this around for awhile but was afraid it would cost alot. Pat
Yes - Sloan has the first half of the 1970 model year, and 1972 - 1980. They charge $25 to research a VIN. Tell Andy I said hello.
