Can anybody here help this guy from the autobody group out?

    Hello all,

I hate to break the thread of the welding topic but I have a quick question regarding interchangeable parts.

I have a 1981 Chevy Malibu Classic. The top half of the front seat does not fold down and I was wondering if by any chance there was a possibility (since they are the same car, size and look the same other than some slight body modification) if seats that do fold down at the back from another model year are interchangeable?

Also, in another un-related topic...I am in a wheelchair and making my car handicap operable with hand controls. I bought the controls from E-BAY only to find out the bracket that fits under the steering column doesn't match up with my car. I was wondering (and I know this is a long shot) if any of you know of a website or place I might be able to find that makes brackets or if any of you have any advice? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for making this so long. Thanks for all your help. -Tom

    Try a medical supply house.

This company is on the east Coast, but AliMed springs to mind. They make prosthesis and so forth, so maybe they might have something to help out with hand controls in a car, or know where to continue the search.

Good luck, let us know how it turns out.
