Yep, it's the 26th of Feb., and I'm a semi-crispy 37. But I just recently found out that my deal on a pretty solid '68 Riv is gonna finally go thru. I've been dealing on this car for about 5-6 months. Now I just gotta wait for better weather. The car is sitting in a storage field right now. PA weather kinda sux @ the moment. Can't wait to pick 'er up. I won't go into too much detail right now, as I want to post pics and ask alot of questions. Yardley??? This will be my first of this body style. This makes 7 Rivieras for me now. Eventually, I'll post more in the "Boatload of Fun" forum cuz I don't know what all it'll take to get it right. I just want to add. You guys have all been a great help. The information traded here is rather priceless. I've done Google searches for things in the past, and have "lurked/visited" other sites, but this is truly the best out there. Others seem to ramble and speculate. Here, you can ask anything, and get a targeted answer, no matter what vehicle it is. Even Chevy. D.
Daryn, Sounds good man !!! :TU: If you have trouble posting the photos, just mail them to me and I'll put them all together in 1 single post. Mail to: buickriviera@gmail.com
You're only 3 hours from me. Where is the car? 68 and 69 are identical but for trim and the steering column. Very nice cars.
Happy Birthday Jeff!! We have never met, but in the June 2001 Hot Rod magazine, my car was on the "readers ride" page right on top of yours. Hopefully you are going to the Mich-Ohio race in Norwalk, and I can buy you a beer. :beer :beer :beer :beer :3gears: :3gears: :3gears:
Welcome to the club! The 68 is one of my favorite years. Such a unique car. Good luck with it. I cant wait to see the pictures! Dont keep us wait too long. Jason
Sorry Joe, but I get 2 weekends a year to myself for "personal travel" and they have always involved Talladega, and since last year will include the BPG Nationals. But if you are in Salem in August, I'll take that beer!
