Happy Birthday Ken. It was great meeting you at the Nat's. Hope you had a safe trip home. Have a great day and many more to come. Steve and Leanne Gray
Thanks!! Thanks guys! I had a blast at the Nats and the car ran excellent. Drove it 900+ miles, ran it to a best of 13.88@97.8 shifting it at 6000rpms, then drove it the 900+ miles home. Great to meet all of you, and Steve tell Leanne I may take her up on the offer to drive the T yet!
Happy Birthday Ken!!! Thanks for the freebie first round! I got some AKs coming back to you. PM me your address.
:beer Happy Birthday Ken! Thanks again for leading the way thru Chicago, I probably wouldn't have made it to Salem without your help. ou: I had a fast trip back into Fargo today, but the fog out of WI really sucked. I suppose it was all burned off by the time you sleepy heads rolled out of bed:sleep: Sure enough, I drive up our street, and can't even go home 'cause the realtor is showing the house! Bad news later today too... There's another offer on the house we're after, and we have 48 hours to get ours sold, or we'll lose the house we want to buy. :ball: Maybe we'll get lucky, 3 couples came thru our house today :TU:
Happy Birthday Ken !! Great meeting you and David and getting to hang out together How Many Passes did you end up making ????
ken, you never said your birthday was around the corner. we could have drank more and gotten louder at the long horn. probably could have got that dog drunk too. it was great to meet you, your brother brian and dave gramlow. my son john just love goofing with brian. just too funny. john
Oh, I really doubt that... at least the louder part:laugh: :beer The mgr probably did the freebie deserts just to shut us all up for a while! ou: :eek2: :error:
Happy Birthday to my Brother & congrats on fine tuning that Buick 350 to his best times! As far as getting louder, without a doubt. We where using our inside voices. As I recall, I started to get loud on a verse, But my brother step in. For a good reason. Besides, We got free dessert. That was some good eatin. gsjohnny - I was just being me! Tell him I would like to see 10's out of next year.
I ended up with two dozen passes on the little 350. Even let a couple other people drive it down the 1/4 as well, though they only ran 15s with it! (John and John) Was a blast the whole time and I only saw one other 350 "full bodied" car in the 13s, though he had roller rockers, mucho porting work, and ET Drags. Leanne's T bucket doesn't count even though it's a 350 it's light! Did anyone else get their 350 powered Buick into the 13s?
I managed about 2 dozen passes too, with a best of 15.72, not too bad for a very stock 350 and 2.56 gears. I've got at least 2 years to improve on that, before I make another BPG meet. Hmm, headers/cam, or 455.....
Being the instigator I am, I felt partly responsible for you guys hauling your Iron 900+ Miles out here. Little Did I know you'd beat the living SNOT out of them all week long too. I was waiting for word you arrived safely back home and let out a BIG sigh of relief. It was a pleasure meeting and "Hangin" with Both of you !! Congrats Guys......WELL DONE !!!!! http://itnmedia.com/alan/bpg/kenmcmillan.wmv
Guy, I'm guessing you were driving the '71 Skylark dialed in at 13.79 and running the new Mickey Thompson ET tires? If so I spoke with you in the staging lanes and shot some video of your car, very nice indeed!!
Ken Whats up make it home ok? I remember metting you at the nats. Car did run pretty good. I dialed in at 13.74 ran 13.72 in the second round. 3rd round car slowed to 13.76 on 13.73 dial also light was high .600 react. lost that one. The Mickey Thompsons ran great Had great time. I will try again @Norwalk. Happy Birthday/ Later.
