Don't know about the headers but I know you can edit the title of your own post by clicking on your post, then look for "thread tools" on the upper right side of the page. "Edit title" is one of the options.

I remember a 65 Gran Sport that ran a Cecil county drag strip back in 65-66
that had very long tubes to the collectors . The guy said because of the small
exhaust valve , it helped to scavenge the air ?????

Heres an excerpt from a catalog i saw online a few years ago of scavenger applications. Doesn't appear that the nailhead was listed Screenshot_20180815-181545.jpg

Not that I know of. Kustom and supposedly Hooker made 65-66 GS headers back in the day. Then the GSCA and T/A Performance ones came along.
I have Kustoms on my blue car. Have a set of the GSCA ones too. Pretty much the same except the Kustoms have larger 3" collectors.

Suppose you could mod the standard headers into a super-scavenger style.
They're talking about modding them in this thread:

My friend has a set of tri-y Nailhead headers for a 63-65 Riv. Crazy looking, I am pretty sure they were custom.

JC Whitney had headers listed for the 65-66 GS, sometime around 1977 to 1980 when I was building my first car. Their catalog didn't say who the manufacturer was.
I bought the Kustoms in 1982 from Johnsons Speed.

ive been looking at some ford 302 tri-Ys..and wow, so they look like with a little work, they could work on a nail head..

im going to go get a used gasket of each and see how far apart..i know of an NOS set of headers for cheap..

Also, take a look at LS headers as well, with different flange, a fire wrench and a welder, TA DA, Nailhead headers!

Walt, I bought a pair of Hookers back in the 70's for my 1st GS. Swapped them out into the next two GS's I bought along with the Hurst Shifter. In the 70's and 80's , the first thing I would do to any GS I had was remove the shifter. 2nd was install the headers, 3rd was boxed control arrms and frame braces and sway bar. last was a carb upgrade or a trip to the junkyard back then for a Riviera intake and carb. When I sold my third GS, I did not have another in the wings so I let the car go with the headers and shifter. Next two or three cars were without headers until the GSCA remade them. I just sold my red 4sp GS to Jeff Horsman and am in need of another set of Hookers, which brings me to my question. You want to sell your set? If not, please keep on the lookout for anyone selling them and send them my way. I would ultimately like to buy two sets as I am Hooked on the Hookers!
