    Priming carb

So you have to dump gas in the carb to get it to start. It's pretty common to have to pump the gas a couple times when a car is cold, but it should light right up when it's warm.

Hard to diagnose with only that info, but some things come to mind:
    1. Non-functioning choke.
    2. Accellerator pump not shooting gas.
    3. Stuck float.

I would suggest that you start with a careful rebuild of the carburetor. You won't need any special tools, just get a good quality carb rebuild kit, take your time, and follow the instructions. Make sure you put in a new float - this probably won't come with the kit. Set all of the little clearances per the kit instructions - this is important.

You may have other problems too, but I'd start with a carb rebuild. Ask for some help if you don't think you have the skills - maybe somebody on the board is close enough to stop by and help you out.

    carb

Do what John says and it will probably fix the problem. If it doesnt, then look at the fuel pump.

Thanks alot, now finding a rebuild kit , I know where a 4 door buick skylark is that has a 350-4, I think if I can get the intake and carb reasonable, I'll go that rought but I dont know how it has been setting so it will proably have to be rebuilt too.
