header flange

Is it okay to cut a slice out of the header flang for the dipstick tube?

 

the tube should be able to go between the flange and the head. there's a notch between the ports...

 

the dipstick comes out real easy, in fact it's a two peice deal. Undo that bolt holding it to the block, and pull out the top half. if memory serves correct the header will be able to go in just fine, if not then pull the whole dipstick tube out... it will definantly fit with the header.

Don't do what I did and try bending the tube to fit the header over it.... never was quite the same again...
