I have a 1970 GS, and while changing headlights, I had to remove just about everything to shore things up. I am sure that I am way out of adjustment. Is there an easy way to get them close, so I can drive at night. I used to do this years ago, but have forgotten the "old" driveway procedure. How far away from the door, how high the beams etc. New cars, you just screw in and go. I am out of practice and a bit out of memory.

    John,
What I do is catch a foggy night and use the fog to tell me just where the lights are aimed. get in a place where you can see some distance and you can tell whether to go up , down, left or right. too far left and you will blind everybody you meet. I usually go a little to the rt. and a little higher than level. cover one light with a towell so you can adjust one at a time.
