My 1978 Skylark has one of those headliners that hang down and rub the top of the noggin. Is there a peice of cardboard that the actual headliner is glued to above the material? And if so whats the best way to reaply the material to the cardboard ? I'm 6'6" and this is driveing me nuts, not to mention the sparks I give off when I touch somebody from the static electricity.:Dou:

i believe that the headliner is glued to a base, probably cardboard.
however, once those headliners drop, it is time to replace. the material is probably stretched and progressively deteriorating. if the car was smoked in, that even accelerates the problem.

Time to replace it - but if you are just doing a temporary repair, remember it is hard to do it and have it look good.

Thank's. I do smoke like a chimney. Now is there anywhere I can get new material that is the same as original? This was my fathers car before he passed and I want to keep it as nice as I can. Only 45000 actual miles. Tan interior. Thank's again.:TU:
