I have a light green wire and a very faded whitish wire that plug into the module inside the distributor. Which is the positive ( you can tell me the negitive and maybe I can figure it out  ?)

    Thanks for any info.

    Doug,
Green is negative, white is positive. Are you trying to connect an MSD. This will help.

    Thanks Larry,
Not using MSD. Setup is a follows let me know what you think
New Accell HiPo module, recurved for 12 initial 34 total @ 2800 RPM (want to match stall on converter) 44 on vacuumn adv.

MSD external coil converter, Crane Hi-6s box and Crane PS-91 coil.

Again thanks for the info. Often the simplest info is hardest to find.

    Doug,
Sounds like it should work fine. Getting rid of the coil in cap is a good idea with the HEI. With the MSD, you can wire the GM HEI magnetic pickup right to the box. Do you even need a module? I would think you could do the same with the Crane Box.

    Larry,
Will check with Crane. The distributor I got was set up to use without a module. The Crane is being used with stock HEI setup now. Thanks

Checked with Crane. The HI-6S needs the module.

Larry, THANKS for posting that above scan, it just saved me a ton of headaches! :bglasses:

New MSD instructions don't tell which of their harness wires goes to which GM wire inside the HEI distributor. :af:
