HEI part numbers- need ID

    HEI part numbers- need ID and OTHER HEI info..

    Hi,

    I have two HEI's that I need id's for. The first is:

    1112803 3M18 I believe it is for a Buick 455 late model.

    the second is:

    1110677 7A25 no idea what it is for.

    I know the 7A25 and 3M18 are date codes, but what are the distributors for?

    Also, is there a 'good' book or article that will lay out the HEI rebuild process? I plan on putting one of these into a stock 68 400 which will have alot of spring/summer/early fall driving and limited track use. I would keep the original points distributor in there but I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO TUNE IT!!!!!
    Any and all help/ comments would be appreciated.

    Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

    1112803 is for a 1974 455 HEI. Can't help with the other one, does not show in parts book I have.
