Drew, According to the ignitionman, the biggest problem with the HEI is the in-cap coil, and the wrong advance curves for our Buicks. MSD sells a conversion kit to use an external coil(MSD-8401??) Dave also recommends a specific center piece, and weights to get the advance curve right. He mentions them in a thread in Sparky's corner(Attention Ignitionman). Or have Dave convert a points distributor to HEI for you. He'll rebuild it from soup to nuts, install a magnetic pickup, an HEI module, an adjustable vacuum advance, and curve it to your specs for about 175.00 www.davessmallbodyheis.com
