Hello I just found this board looks good. You may wonder why a guy with my name would be here. Well thats a good question. I have a friend with a 63 Riviara. I took hime out to the drag strip last year and well lets just say she's not too quick. The car has a stock 401 switch pitch t400 and a set of 3.4? gears with a limited slip. So he wants to get her a little quicker in the low 13's. So we took a good look at the spare parts he has and he wants to put a 455 in it. So here I am combing the net looking for good info on how to do this. The plan is 455 with a regular t400 he has a 2500 stall for it. The header will have to be built from scratch for it I'm guessing. The big question we have is what to do for tranny motor mounts? Also the rear axle's control arm setup looks a little weak for use with slicks, Anyone here ever drag race on of these things what do you have to do to get the rear suspension dialed in?
    Thanks:)

Welcome aboard. There are several very fast Rivieras on the board and I am sure you will hear from them sooner or later. What part of the country are you from?
